Our Motivation

Why EdenSpring

The Practical Answer

There are too few beds in the U.S. for survivors of sex trafficking. Most homes have waitlists of dozens or hundreds of people.

The Big Picture Answer

Each person is created in the image of God. Each person is precious and valuable. And with Jesus, each person can live with joy and peace.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

Christine Wilson

I founded EdenSpring after leaving the full-time practice of law in 2023. It is the place I have dreamed of creating for more than 15 years. But why?

Beginning early in my childhood, I was sexually molested for years by a close family member. I carried the baggage of that molestation for decades. I struggled to trust others, suffered from deep depression, and viewed myself as damaged goods. I exhausted myself trying to prove I was worthy.

One night, God revealed himself to me in a mystical and mighty way. The next morning, spurred by hope but filled with dread, I called a counselor and began my healing journey.

For the next two years, I pursued counseling and healing prayer. Each session was deeply painful and unspeakably hard, but Jesus met me every. single. time. As other survivors of sexual abuse began to cross my path, I shared the good news — healing, joy, and peace are within reach.

My healing continues — it will be a lifelong journey — but now I live with joy. EdenSpring is the place I have dreamed for years of creating so that other women can also shed the darkness and walk the road to joy.
